  104.        This section lists the subsystems (and their sizes) of the
  105.        Netscape Communicator product.

  107.        You can use the software installation instructions in the
  108.        _P_e_r_s_o_n_a_l _S_y_s_t_e_m _A_d_m_i_n_i_s_t_r_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e to install this
  109.        product.  If you are installing this software for the first
  110.        time, the default subsystems are installed if you click the
  111.        _I_n_s_t_a_l_l _A_u_t_o_m_a_t_i_c_a_l_l_y button.  To install a different set of
  112.        subsystems, click the _C_u_s_t_o_m_i_z_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n button and make
  113.        your new selections.  Then click the _S_t_a_r_t button to launch
  114.        the installation.

  162.        installed using IRIX.  You do not need to use the miniroot.

  166.        2.4  _C_o_m_p_a_t_i_b_i_l_i_t_y

  168.        These images of Netscape Communicator are not compatible
  169.        with Netscape Communications Corp.'s images of Netscape
  170.        Communicator.  If you have previously installed Netscape
  171.        Communications' images, you should remove them before
  172.        installing these images.

  174.        2.5  _C_o_n_f_i_g_u_r_a_t_i_o_n__F_i_l_e_s

  176.        Two files are installed that should be configured when
  177.        updating releases.  Both files reside in
  178.        /_v_a_r/_n_e_t_s_c_a_p_e/_c_o_m_m_u_n_i_c_a_t_o_r and are called _m_a_i_l_c_a_p and
  179.        _m_i_m_e._t_y_p_e_s.  These files help configure the browser when
  180.        accessing multi-media objects over the network.  Currently
  181.        they are tuned to work with the tools that are shipped with

  201.        browser's preferences options on a per user basis.

  205.        Once the browser is installed, users may customize how it
  206.        interacts with the network.  These customizations are on the
  207.        "Preferences..." menu item on the "Edit" menu.  If your
  208.        system is behind a firewall, see your system's administrator
  209.        for information on how to get through the firewall.
